The National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) has suspended the nationwide strike it started on Wednesday for two weeks.
The workers made the decision to suspend the strike after a conciliation meeting with the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.
At the end of the three-hour-long meeting, the workers agreed to suspend the industrial action which has thrown the country into a total blackout.
INVESTOGIST reported on Tuesday that the members of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) held a protest at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) headquarters in Abuja Tuesday morning.
They accused the government of failing to address staff welfare issues.
