Airtel Africa plc has announced the currency options for its interim dividend of 3.1 US cents per ordinary share, giving shareholders until 23 November 2026 to choose how they want to be paid.
In a statement signed by the company secretary, the company said the dividend is payable on 11 December 2026 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 13 November 2026.
Shareholders who hold their shares on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) can be paid in naira or US dollars.
The last day to trade and qualify is 12 November 2026. Those who want to be paid in dollars must submit a Currency Election Form to Coronation Registrars Limited, either directly or by email to eforms@coronationregistrars.com. Anyone who does not make an election will be paid in naira.
Shareholders on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) can choose between pounds sterling and US dollars.
The last day to trade is 11 November 2026. They must return their forms to Computershare Investor Services plc, while CREST participants can elect to be paid through CREST. Those who make no election will receive US dollars.
The company said payments will be converted at the rates available on 30 October 2026: US$1 to ₦1,347.44 and US$1 to £0.7464.
At those rates, the dividend works out to about ₦41.77 per share, or roughly 2.31 pence. These conversions are our own calculations, not figures from the company.
The election deadline is 23 November 2026 for both Nigerian and UK shareholders.
