Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (NGX: TRANSCORP) has announced a final Dividend of 2 kobo per ordinary share for the financial year ended December 31, 2021 subject to appropriate withholding tax and shareholders’ approval at eh next AGM.
The qualification date for the dividend is Friday, April 8, 2022 according to the corporate action published by the company on the Nigerian Exchange.
The Company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, 1 Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, on 21 April 2022 at 10:00 am.
If approved, the dividend which amounts to N812,959,805.86 will on Friday, April 22, 2022 be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at Friday, April 8, 2022 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.

Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s e-dividend activation form, complete and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.
TRANSCORP’s Registrar is Arica Prudential. The e-dividend mandate form can be downloaded or filled on the registrar’s website or SEC’s website and on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website.
Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc grew its revenue to N111.22 billion in 2021. The company’s profit for the year jumped by 528.45% to N23.83 billion in 2021 from N3.79 billion recorded in 2020.
Despite the surge in TRANSCORP’s profit, the equity price is down 6.54% at N1.00 per share on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange at the time of writing this report as investors are displeased with the proposal of 2 kobo final dividend.
The company has outstanding ordinary shares of 40,647,990,293 shares of 50 kobo each.
