A military aircraft King Air 350 has crashed on Sunday short of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja runway after reporting engine failure.
The B350 aircraft plane belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF201), departed Abuja for Minna at 1033UTC with 6 persons on board including two crew.
Confirming the crash, the Federal Ministry of Aviation Nigeria, in a tweet said the crash is fatal and called for calm while awaiting the outcome of investigations.

The Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika in tweet called for calm while awaiting the outcome of investigation by the military.

Aircraft reported engine failure at time 1039 and crashed landed on the final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 at time 10:48UTC with all six persons feared dead, Vanguard reported.
Fire services are at the scene of the accident.
