Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) will undergo a forward split at the close of trading today, June 3, 2022.
The shareholders of Amazon will receive 20 shares for every 1 share held over the weekend.
Shareholders approved the 20-for-1 stock split at the company’s annual meeting on May 25.
Although the split will occur today, the price per share will reflect the split on June 6.
The split will make it easier for smaller investors to buy shares of Amazon at an affordable price.
After Amazon’s stock split, the four-figure stock price will drop to around $122 if the stock closes at N2,445 per share on Friday.
At the time of writing this report, Amazon share price is down 2.60% at N2,445 per share.
