The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared incumbent Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the winner of the Saturday 8 November 2025 Governorship election amidst low voter turnouts.

Governor Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) secured 422,664 votes, 72.4% of the total valid votes cast to beat his nearest challenger, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who garnered 99,445 votes (17%).
Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) came in third with 37.753 votes, while George Moghalu of the Labour Party (LP) secured 10,576 votes.

There was a general low turnout of voters as only 595,298 voters out of 2,788,864 registered voters casted their ballots. This represents a voter turnout of only 21.34%.
The 21.34% turnout, though low is an improvement on the 10.3% turnout in 2021 election, and turnout in the 2017 election.
Charles Chukwuma Soludo is the sixth democratically elected governor of Anambra State. He won his first tenure in 2021 and has now secured the mandate of the voters for a second term in office.
A former economist and banker, Governor Soludo was the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria under President Olusegun Obasanjo. Before his appointment as CBN Governor, he served as the Chief Economic Adviser to President Obasanjo in 2023.
Governor Soludo also served as a member of the presidential economic advisory committee under President Muhammadu Buhari.
