First Bank of Nigeria has said that its branches in the South East are fully open for business. The bank urged the public to disregard any information that stated otherwise.
The bank said this on Wednesday in a Public Announcement issued on its official Twitter handle, following the news making rounds on social media that First bank closed it branches in Imo State until further notice.
“This is to inform the public that our South East Branches are fully open for business. Please disregard any news making the rounds that is contrary to this,” First Bank wrote.

Further investigation by Investogist discovered that the image being circulated was part of the First Bank’s now deleted tweet on 31 May, when it announced that its South East Branches will be “temporarily closed today.”
