Lafarge Africa Plc on Monday informed the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the investing public that the company’s Board of Directors will hold a meeting on Thursday 3 July to consider the second quarter financial results of the company for the quarter ended 30 June 2020.
According to the notification signed by the General Counsel & Company Secretary, Adewunmi Alode, the company’s closed period will commence from Wednesday 8 July 2020, until the unaudited financial statement for the second quarter ended 30 June 2020 is released on the floor of the NSE.
In accordance with the closed period rule, no Director, employee, persons discharging managerial responsibility and Advisers of the Company and their connected persons may directly or indirectly deal in the shares of the Company in any manner during the closed period.

Lafarge is into the business of manufacturing and marketing of cement and other building materials.
It is listed on the Premium board of the NSE with a ticker symbol of WAPCO.
At the close of trade on Monday, the share price stood at N10.00 after losing 3.38% of its value. The 52 week high and low price low is N17.60 and N8.95 respectively.
YTD, the share price is down by 34.64% while in 2 years it is down by 73.68%.
In Q1 2020, the company recorded an increase in revenue to N63.695 billion from N58.016 billion in Q1 2019. The profit after tax for the period grew to N8.067 billion from N3.145 billion in 2019.
