The Board of Directors of Sunu Assurances Nigeria Plc (NGX: SUNUASSUR) has approved a dividend proposal for the financial year ended December 31, 2022.
The approved dividend proposal which is subject to approval of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) was amongst the resolutions passed by the Board at its meeting on Friday.

The Board of Directors of Sunu Assurances Nigeria Plc had met on Friday 24th February, 2023 and unanimously resolved as follows;
- That the Financial Statements and Accounts of the Company together with the Directors and Auditor’s reports for the financial year ended December 31, 2022 and a dividend proposal subject to approval of the Audited Financials by National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) is approved.
- That Management be and is hereby authorized to submit the Audited Financial Statements and Accounts of the Company for the year ended December 31, 2022 to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) for its aproval.
- That the 2022 AFS will be released to the public after all regulatory approvals have been obtained.
- That All insiders (including directors, staff and members of the Audit Committee and their connected persons (including immediate family members and close dependents) are reminded that the earlier declared closed period for dealing in the company’s shares will remain in effect until twenty four (24) hours after publication of the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December, 2022 on the floor of the NGX.
SUNUASSUR Group posted a Profit of N567.57mn (2021: N233.55mn) and an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of 9kobo (2021: 3.4kobo) according to the Unaudited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December, 2022 release on January 30th, 2022.
