The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, expressed his gratitude for the generous donation to support farmers in Kano state.
The governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawanki Tofa, issued a statement on Thursday, June 6, 2024, thanking President Tinubu for the donation.
During the inauguration of rural access roads in Dawakin Kudu local government area of the state, the governor announced the donation of 70 trucks of fertilizers and extended his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Kano state. He emphasized Kano’s commitment to agricultural transformation by ensuring accessibility and affordability of high-quality agricultural inputs to enhance crop production within the state.
The governor previously directed the state-owned Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO) to initiate extensive production of fertilizers to support smallholder farmers within the state.
Kano state is one of Nigeria’s leading states in crop production.
