Nigerian Breweries Plc (NGX: NB) has announced a final dividend of N1.03 per ordinary share of 50 kobo each, subject to the deduction of the appropriate withholding tax and approval at the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) scheduled for 26th April, 2023.
The qualification date for the dividend is 16th March
If approved, the dividend which amounts to ₦10,584,416,349 will be paid on 26th of April, 2023, electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at 16th of March, 2023, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form.
Nigerian Breweries Plc’s registrar is First Registrars Nigeria. The e-dividend form is available on the Registrar’s website and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website.

Approval of the final dividend will bring the total dividend paid by the company for the 2022 financial to ₦13,872,778,710 ((thirteen billion, eight hundred and seventy two million, seven hundred and seventy eight thousand, seven hundred and ten naira only).
The total dividend includes an interim dividend of N3,288,362,361 (three billion, two hundred and eighty eight million, three hundred and sixty two thousand, three hundred and sixty one naira only), that is, 40 (forty) kobo per share which was declared in October 2022,
The total dividend is comprised of an interim dividend of N3,230,332,760 (three billion, two hundred and thirty million, three hundred and thirty two thousand, seven hundred and sixty Naira only), that is, 40 (forty) Kobo per share which was declared in October 2021.
In 2022, NB grew its revenue by 26 per cent to N550.64 billion from N437.29 billion in 2021. and its profit by 4 per cent to N13.19 billion from N12.77 billion in 2021.
At the close of business on Friday, the equity price of Nigerian Breweries Plc declined by 1.19% to close at N41.5 per share on the Nigerian Exchange.
