Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the of Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff, and Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff.

According to the statement, Tinubu in a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), also named former Governor of Benue State, George Akume, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Akume was the immediate past Minister of Special Duties, under former president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Gbajabiamila will assume office of the Chief of Staff on June 14, 2023.
