Fidelity Bank Plc (NSE ticker – FEIDLITY), in a press release to the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday, disclosed that the bank’s audited 2020 half-year financial statements have been submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for approval, hence the delay in filling.
According to the press release signed by Ezinwa Unuigboje Company Secretary, the financial statements will be filed with the Exchange upon receiving CBN approval.
Fidelity Bank had on 18 August said the Bank’s audited half-year 2020 financial statements have been approved by the Board of Directors, and its filing is expected to be on or before 29 August 2020.
Having missed the stated date, Fidelity Bank has joined a list of other banks – STANBIC, ZENITH, UBA, and GUARANTY with similar releases on Monday.

FIDELITY said it received a 30-day extension of time to file the Bank’s audited half-year financial statements from the Exchange.
The Bank said it expects to publish the H1 2020 reports on or before 28 September 2020 and that the closed period as announced is still in effect, until 24 hours after the release of the H1 2020 financial statements.
