BUA Foods Plc (NGX: BUA) has announced a final dividend of N4.50 kobo per 50 Kobo ordinary share for the financial year ended December 31, 2022.
The dividend announced is subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval of shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for 21st September 2023.

The qualification date for the dividend has been set for September 1, 2023.
At the current share price of N102 per share, the dividend yield is 4.4% but it will be lower when the withholding tax is taken into consideration.
On September 21, 2023, the dividend which amounts to N81 billion will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as of September 1, 2023, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.

The Company’s Annual General Meeting will be held on 21st September 2023 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
BUA Foods Plc reported N418.3 billion revenue in 2022, an increase of 26% compared to N333.2 billion in FY 2021.
The company’s total profit for the year stood at N91.3 billion, a 31% increase compared to N69.7 billion in 2021.
The dividend payout represents 88.72% of the company’s profit for the period.
BUA Foods Plc has 18,000,000,000.00 outstanding shares and a market capitalization of N1.836 trillion as at the close of business on Wednesday. Its share price closed flat at N102 per share. It is the fifth most capitalized listed company on the Nigerian Exchange.
