Aliko Dangote has confirmed plans to list Dangote Fertiliser Limited, the group’s fertiliser business in 2028 via an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Dangote, Africa’s richest man made the remarks during an interview at the Qatar Economic Forum on Sunday while discussing the ownership structure of his businesses and plans to bring more investors into the group.
Asked when the listing would take place, Dangote said, “Yes, it will be 2028.”
We will IPO it. It’s going to be the biggest fertiliser company on earth,” he said.
Dangote Fertiliser Limited is a $2.5 Billion complex sited on 500 hectares of land in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. It is the largest granulated urea fertiliser complex in Africa with an annual production capacity of 3 million metric tonnes.
Aliko Dangote said the group is seeking to bring more investors into its businesses.
The Dangote group has also outlined plans to raise its fertiliser production capacity to about 12 million tonnes annually by 2028, through the expansion of its Nigerian operations and a proposed plant in Ethiopia.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s IPO is currently ongoing and continues to attract interest from Nigerian retail investors, with the share offer opening the group’s refinery ownership to members of the public.
