MTN Nigeria has stated that a glitch was responsible for the clearing of the debts of its subscribers.

Subscribers of MTNN had been rejoicing as their loans on the MTN network suddenly disappeared. Business Day reported that the subscribers were celebrating and expressing gratitude to the company, thinking that the operator purposely cancelled their bills.
The telecom operator in a statement stated that “this is not the case and all balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is resolved.”
It added that MTN engineers are currently working to ensure that accurate figures are reflected once the problem is resolved.
