The Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has formally opened the collation center for the 2023 Presidential Elections, setting the pace for the eventual announce of the election results.
The collation center is situated at the the International Conference Centre ICC, Abuja.

The INEC Chairman, who is also the Federal Returning Officer for Presidential Election collation center will receive the results from the different State Returning Officers for INEC and will announce the winner of the elections.
Nigeria’s Presidential Election collation is done at four levels;
- The Polling Unit
- The Registration Area (Ward)
- The Local Government Area
- The States
And final result is announced by the INEC Chairman.
The collation center will remain open until the announcement of the winner of the Presidential election.
The Collation center has closed for a break to resume by 6.00pm, at which time they expect some State Presentation officers to arrive and present their results.
