Gunmen killed six people, including the driver of a commercial car traveling from Takum Local Government Area to Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The incident took place at Sai community, a border area of Benue State. John Ali, the chairman of the Takum council, confirmed the incident.
,The area has been flagged as volatile, and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) was cautioned against using the route early in the morning. Despite this, a vehicle carrying five passengers left Takum early Monday and was attacked. Security agencies have been instructed to pursue the perpetrators.
