The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said its Lagos Zonal Command operatives have arrested 52 suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State.
Sharing the pictures and the names of the suspects on its Twitter handle on Friday, EFCC said they “were arrested during sting operations between Wednesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 8, 2023, following intelligence received by the Commission about the activities of some individuals involved in computer-related fraud in some areas of the state.”
Items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, laptop computers and cars, according to Commission.
EFCC said the they will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
