Chemical and Allied Products Plc (NGX: CAP) has proposed a dividend of ₦1.55 per 50 kobo ordinary share for the period ended 31st December, 2023.

The dividend recommended by the Directors of the company represents ₦1.26billion cash distribution. The paint manufacturer declared and paid a dividend of ₦1.55 for the 2022 financial year,
At the end of trading on Thursday on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange, CAP’s share price closed at ₦24.00, thus putting its dividend yield at 6.45%.
Shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on the 31st of May, 2024 will qualify for the dividend.
On June 1, 2024, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at the close of business on May 31, 2024 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrars to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form which is available at http://sec.gov.ng/wpcontent/uploads/2016/04/Afric-Prudential- EDMMS-Form_2018.pdf complete same and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.
The Company’s Annual General Meeting will hold at a date yet to be announced.
CAP Plc posted a profit of ₦2.51 billion for the period ended 31st December, 2023 (2022: ₦2.37 billion). It’s basic earnings per share went up from ₦2.92 to ₦3.09.
