BUA Foods Plc (NGX: BUAFOODS) has announced a final dividend of ₦3.50 per ordinary share of 50 kobo each, subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval during the company’s Annual General Meeting.
The qualification date for the dividend is 13th July 2022. The Company’s Annual General Meeting will be held on 4th August 2022. Venue will be advised in due course, according to BUA Foods.
If approved, the divided which amounts to N63.00 billion will on August 4, 2022 be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at 13th July, 2022 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
BUA Foods Registrar is Arica Prudential. The e-dividend mandate form can be downloaded or filled on the registrar’s website or SEC’s website and on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website.
BUA Foods has 18 billion outstanding shares with a market capitalization of N1.07 at the close of trading on Thursday.
The equity price of BUA Foods closed flat at N59.50 per share on Thursday. It has remained at N59.50 per share since March 18, 2022.
The dividend yield at the current price is 5.88%. If buy charges are taken into account, the yield will be lower.
BUA Foods reported revenue of N333.27 billion in 2021 (N192.86 billion in 2020) and a profit after tax of N69.77 billion (N35.41 billion in 2020).
