National Agency for the Great Green Wall is seeking for 1000 youth volunteers to work across its eleven frontline states.
The agency disclosed this on Monday in a press release signed by the agency’s CEO Dr Yusuf Maina-Bukar.
The youth volunteers will assist with the agency’s various activities ranging from afforestation/reforestation, land regeneration, job creation, alternative energy sources, capacity development, and public enlightenment.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- They must have a valid NIN.

The agency said that the NAGGW Youth Volunteers program is aimed at increasing the level of advocacy and accelerating income-generating activities, especially among the women and youth in the Great Green Wall Frontline communities in the 11 frontline states (Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa).
The NAGGW Youth Volunteers program intends to unlock, harness, and coordinate the vast potentials of the youth energy in the region into opportunities for achieving holistic nature-based solutions development and realization of the Great Green Wall vision in Nigeria.
