Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (NGX: GTCO) will pay an interim dividend of N1.00 per ordinary shared for the Half-year period ended June 30, 2026.

In the period under review, the financial holding group posted a gross earnings of N1.10 trillion, a modest 3.25% growth from the N1.07 trillion reported in the same period in 2025.
The company’s interest income rose to N854.46 billion in H1 2026, from N798.42 billion posted in H1 2025, with interest expense increasing by 7.51% from N180.12 billion to N223.78 billion.
Fee and commission income dropped by 8.98% from N151.46 billion reported in H1 2025 to N142.43 billion in H1 2026. Correspondingly, the fee and commission expenses also reduced from N16.28 billion to N19.40 billion.
Personnel and other operating expenses stood at N56.96 billion (H1 2025: N54.39 billion) and N166.11 billion (H1 2025: N165.79 billion) respectively.
Profit before tax grew marginally from N600.90 billion posted in H1 2025 to N603.03 billion in H1 2026. The financial group paid income tax amounting to N188.84 billion, up from N151.89 billion it paid in H1 2025.
Consequently, profit after tax reduced by 7.76% to N414.18 billion as against N449.01 billion posted in H1 2025.
Earnings per Share (EPS) followed the same path, dropping to N11.18 from N13.59.
On the Balance sheet, total assets grew by 4.81% to N18.62 trillion from N17.76 trillion. Total liabilities on the other hand increased by 6.63% to N15.30 trillion from N14.34 trillion.
Total equity declined 2.82% to N3.32 trillion from N3.37 trillion, with retained earnings falling 5.98% to N1.62 trillion from N1.71 trillion.
At the end of the period in review, GTCO generated a cash and cash equivalent of N4.13 trillion, against N4.35 trillion against at the end of the same period in the preceding year.
