Senegalese footballer and ex-Liverpool striker, Sadio Mané has married longtime partner Aisha Tamba.
The private marriage ceremony took place in Keur Massar, a district in Senegal’s capital city, Dakar on January 7.
The event was said to be attended by family, friends and fellow footballers.
According to reports, Mané, 31, who is now playing for Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr, not only won Aisha’s heart but also financed her education at a private college in Mbao.
Aisha 19, who also shares the same religious faith as Mané, would reportedly continue her education. They’re both said to be private people.
The consent age in Senegal is 16. It is unclear exactly when the duo started dating.
Pictures from their intimate wedding ceremony were shared on Instagram by @Magvision_Evens_Officiel. The images capture moments of affection between the newlyweds — Mané kissing Aisha’s hands and snuggling close to her. One particular photo features the couple seated beneath a rose arrangement with ‘Mrs Mané’ emblazoned on the wall in gold.
Back in 2022, when asked about his ideal life partner, Mané had stated (as per the Tribune): “I’ve seen a lot of girls asking me why I am not married, but sorry you might be wasting your time. The woman I marry will not be on social networks. I want to marry a woman who respects God and prays well. Everyone has their own way of making their choice of love.”
