The Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party (LP) has announced the official flag-off of the presidential campaign of its candidate, Mr. Peter Obi on Saturday 29th October, 2022, in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Nasarawa State is in North Central geopolitical zone of Nigeria, and it’s capital, Lafia, was the first city to hold a “One million match” for Peter Obi.
In the announcement signed by Dr Yunusa Tanko, Chief Spokeperson for the Presidential Campaign Council, called on all the Peter Obi support groups and teeming supporters, to join them in organising a worthwhile campaign, which will showcase the Obi-Datti Team, to the people.
In an email to volunteers of the Obi-Datti campaign seen by Investogist, Director General, Obi Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Doyin Okupe called on volunteers who live in Nasarawa State, to prepare to be at the mega rally.
He called on them to invite family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues. He also asked them to tell your friends and followers on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok about the upcoming event by posting about it using the following hashtags #ObiDattiRallies, #Nasarawa4ObiDatti, and #ObiDatti2023.”
ObiDatti Presidential Campaign Council had suspended the campaigns to commiserate with Nigerians affected by the flood.
Since then, the Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi has visited many places affected in the States of Benue, Bayelsa, Delta, Anambra, Taraba, and Kogi states.
