The Senate says that a high powered delegation would be sent to London to meet with former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice were arrested last week in London and charged to court for organ harvesting.
The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, who spoke after a closed door meeting of the Senate on Wednesday said that the delegation of the Upper Chamber would be made up of members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs led by Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, Bauchi North.
He said the delegation would liase with the Nigeria High Commission in London to get briefs on the matter.
He said the Senate delegation would travel out in two days time.
“The Senate delegation will include members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs who shall travel out in two days time.” Lawan said.
He said “the Senate will continue to engage the British High Commission on the issue.”
