Sergio Aguero is on the verge of a return to La Liga, where he first made his name, according to a revelation by Pep Guardiola.
Pep Guardiola hinted that Aguero was bound for Barcelona FC this while speaking to BBC Sports.
“Maybe I reveal a secret,” Guardiola told the BBC’s Match of the Day. “Maybe he is close to agreeing a deal for the club of my heart – for Barcelona.
“He is going to be playing alongside the best player of all time, Messi.”
Guardiola added: “I’m pretty sure he is going to enjoy. And maybe Barcelona are stronger and stronger with him on the pitch.”
32 years old Aguero is poised to leave the Etihad Stadium when his contract expires this summer after scoring 260 goals in 389 games for the club.

A tearful Guardiola paid tribute to the striker after their last of the season on Sunday. A game in which the veteran striker scored two goals.
“Sergio is a special person. It was a perfect game and a fairy tale moment, so good for him,” an emotional Guardiola said after the game.
Aguero is a legend at Manchester City, memories of his last minute title winning goal still fresh in city fans’ mind.
His exit has been graceful, with Manchester City giving him an emotional send-off that included team-mates lifting him above their heads in recognition of his importance to the organisation.
