Lafarge Africa Plc (NGX: WAPCO) has announced a final dividend of 200 kobo per unit of 50 kobo ordinary share for the 2022 financial year ended 31st December, 2022.
The company said that the proposed dividend, if approved by shareholders, will be payable from the pioneer profits therefore not subject to deduction of withholding tax.

Lafarge share price at the end of trading on Tuesday stood at N27.40, putting the dividend yield at 7.3%.
The qualification date for the dividend has been set as Monday, 10th April, 2023.
On the 28th day of April 2023, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at 6th April, 2023, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrars e-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, which is available on the website of our Registrar www.cardinalstoneregistrars.com, complete and submit to the Registrar.
Shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that have remained unclaimed or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar.
The Company’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the Grand Banquet Hall, The Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, 28th April 2023. Shareholders may attend the meeting in person or by proxy.
The company reported a profit after tax of N53.64bn for the period, an slight improvement on the N51.00bn it reported in 2021.
It posted a basic earnings per share of 333 kobo (2021: 317 kobo).
