Mr. Hendrik Mentz de Waal and Mr. Joseph Ramashala have resigned as the Independent Non-Executive Directors of BOC Gases Nigeria Plc (NGX: BOCGAS) and representatives of BOC Holdings UK.
The resignation of Waal and Ramashala took effect August 10, 2021, according to a publication by the company on the Nigerian Exchange, signed by Aderonke Segun-Alabi, Company Secretary.
Following their resignation, the duo ceases to be members of the Risk and Audit Committee of the Board of the BOC Gases Nigeria Plc.
Their resignation followed the recent TY Holdings Limited’s acquisition of 60% of the entire shares in the Company previously owned by BOC Holdings UK.
Prior to this acquisition, TY Holdings Limited held 12% of the existing shares of BOCGAS. It now owns 72% of the Company’s shares, effectively making BOCGAS a subsidiary of TY Holdings Limited.

This change of ownership of BOCGAS became effective as at 13th day of August 2021.
The equity price of BOC Gases closed flat at N11.10 per share on Monday, on the Nigerian Exchange.
