Red Star Express Plc has announced a change of name for one of its subsidiaries. The board of directors approved the renaming of Red Star Freight Limited as Red Star Cargo Services Limited.
The company disclosed the decision in a notice to shareholders, the investing public and the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), signed by the company’s secretary, Frances Ndidi Akpomuka.
The company said the change would enable the subsidiary to take advantage of emerging business opportunities.
The notice gave no further details about those opportunities, nor did it mention any change to the subsidiary’s operations, ownership or management.
