Fiverr International Ltd. revealed plans today as part of a push to become a leaner, AI-focused company with fewer management layers. They will be laying off approximately 250 employees, or 20% of their global workforce.
The restructuring aims to streamline operations, reduce management layers, and integrate AI-native infrastructure to enhance freelance matching and productivity tools.
CEO Micha Kaufman stated the move positions Fiverr to better serve its marketplace in an AI-driven economy.
The company said the move will allow it to pursue growth opportunities with an AI-native structure, while reinvesting some savings into the business and improving adjusted earnings.
