The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reported that 93.3% of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) were collected nationwide.
The electoral umpire made the statement in a Summary of the Registered Voters released on its Twitter handle ahead of the 2023 general elections.

2 days from today, on the 25th of February, 2023, Nigerians will go to the polls to elect the next President of the country and members of the National Assemblies; Federal House of Representatives Member and Senators.
According to the report, for the 93,469,008 registered voters who are entitled to PVCs, 87,209,007 of the PVCs were collected, while 6,259,229 PVCS remain uncollected, representing 6.7% of total PVCs.
Bauchi, Anambra, and Katsina States recorded the highest percentage of PVC collections with 99.0%, 98.8% and 98.4% respectively.
While Bauchi reported that 2,721,780 PVCs were collected, while Anambra and Katsina saw 2,624,764 and 3,459,945 PVCs being collected respectively.
Osun, Oyo and Ogun states recorded the least percentage of PVC collection with 81.5%, 84.3% and 84.7% respectively.
Osun voters collected 1,594,066 PVCs, while Oyo and Ogun collected 2,761,421 and 2,278,063 PVCs respectively.
In terms of the number of PVCs collected, the below states had the highest numbers;
- Lagos with 6,214,970
- Kano with 5,594,193
- Kaduna 4,164,473
In terms of the number of PVCs collected, the below states had the lowest numbers;
- Ekiti with 958,052
- Yobe with 1,43,851
- FCT with 1,476,457

Several PVCs has been found in different parts of Nigeria outside the custody of INEC, some in drainages, some in the forest and some along the highway.
Investogist reported that thousands of PVCs were discovered in a forest in Nnewi, Anambra State by two hunters.
