Zenith Bank Plc (NGX: ZENITHBANK) has released its audited financial results for the year ended 31 December 2025, reporting growth in gross earnings and a major boost in shareholder returns.
The bank’s 2025 Annual Report shows gross earnings rising 6% to ₦4.192 trillion (2024: ₦3.971 trillion)
The earnings is driven by resilient performance across retail, corporate, and digital banking segments.
Profit before tax moderated 5% to ₦1.263 trillion (2024: ₦1.327 trillion), while profit after tax grew marginally to ₦1.041 trillion (2024: ₦1.033 trillion).
Profit attributable to equity holders of the parent stood at ₦1.040 trillion.
Basic earnings per share came in at ₦25.32 (2024: ₦32.87), that is an increase in the bank’s issued share capital to 41.07 billion shares.
The Board of Directors has proposed a final dividend of ₦8.75 per share of 50 kobo each.
Together with the interim dividend of ₦1.25 already paid, this brings the total dividend for the 2025 financial year to ₦10.00 per share.

The bank fully complied with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Corporate Governance Code, the SEC Code, and the National Code of Corporate Governance.
Its internal controls were certified effective as at 31 December 2025 by the Chief Financial Officer and the GMD/CEO in the Statement of Corporate Responsibility.
Zenith Bank donated ₦5.664 billion to charitable causes in 2025, focusing on education, health, infrastructure, sports, and professional development.
No donations were made to political parties.
