Tottenham has appointed Ange Postecoglou head coach on a four-year deal.
Postecoglou will join the Spurs on July 1, when will become the first Australian to manage in the Premier League.
The move to Tottenham comes after his two years contract at Celtic, where he won back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles.
On Saturday, he secured Celtic’s eighth domestic treble in its history with a 3-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Scottish Cup final.
Postecoglou has won five of the six trophies available since joining the club from Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos.
Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, in a statement said, “Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play.
“He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our club.
“We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”
Postecoglou said Celtic tried to convince him but he wants to “explore” the opportunity a Tottenham.
“They wanted me to extend my time at Celtic and while I am so respectful and understanding of their position, a new opportunity has been presented to me and it is one which I wanted to explore,” said Postecoglou.
He will succeed Antonio Conte, who was sacked in March, as permanent Spurs boss. Cristian Stellini stepped as an interim coach but he lasted just matches following 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle United. Then, Ryan Mason was placed in charge as an acting head coach for the rest of the season.
