MultiChoice Nigeria is set to increase its DSTv subscription fees across all packages, two weeks after Startimes implemented its own rate hike.
The company on Tuesday, announced that the prices on its DStv and GOtv packages will be reviewed upwards by 17 per cent effect from May 1, 2023.
The pay-tv firm said the price adjustment was due to the rising costs of business operations.
Under the new prices, Premium package subscribers will pay N24,500, a 16.7% increase from the current price of N21,000.
The price on the Compact+ package would move to N16,600 from N14,250 monthly, a 16.5% rise.
Subscribers on the Compact package will now pay N10,500 as against N9,000, an increase of 16.7%; while those on Confam package are set to pay N6,200 compared to the previous N5,300, a 17% increase.

MultiChoice however, made a price lock offer to subscribers who may renew their subscriptions before their due dates. The offer allows customers to pay the old rates for 12 months, if they pay monthly before the expiration of their subscriptions or if they pay for year for 1 year at a go before the new prices kick in.
