The Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank Plc (NGX:FIDELITYBK) has announced a final dividend of 40 kobo per 50 kobo ordinary share for the period ended December 31, 2022.
The proposed final dividend which amounts to N11.59 billion is subject to appropriate withholding tax.
This brings the total dividend for the 2022 financial year to 50 kobo as the Bank paid an interim dividend of 10 kobo for the six months ended June 30, 2023.
If approved, the final dividend will be paid on May 23, 2023 to Shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members at the close of business on May 12, 2023 who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts. Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to do so.
Fidelity Bank Plc’s registrar is First Registrars & Investor Services Limited. The e-dividend form is available on the Registrar’s website and on Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website.

In 2022, Fidelity Bank’s gross earnings rose to N337.05 billion from N250.78 billion in 2021. The profit after tax increased to NN46.72 billion from N23.10 billion in 2021.
The Proposed dividend payout is 24.8% of the profit after tax.
The share price of Fidelity Bank Plc rose 9.04% to close at N5.67 per share on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Friday.
Fidelity Bank Plc has 28,974,797,023 outstanding shares and a market capitalization of N164.29 billion at the close of business on Friday.
