The deal was announced by Abubakar Garima, IPMAN National President on Monday after a meeting of the National Working Committee of the Association in Abuja.
“We’re pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets,” Girima said after meeting Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group.
Abubakar Garima urged IPMAN members to support the Refinery, citing backward integration benefits and positive impacts on Nigeria’s Foreign Exchange market.
He expressed confidence that negotiations with Dangote would yield lower rates in terms of pricing.
DAILY POST reported that the Dangote Refinery, at the meeting, pledged to commence the supply of products to over 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 retail outlets nationwide.
The move is expected to eliminate middlemen, reduce costs and ensure a steady supply.
