The Federal Government of Nigeria has carried out its threat by placing 100 passengers on travel restrictions for non-compliance with mandatory protocol on tests upon arrival as outlined by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the PTF on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, in a notice to the affected passengers on Saturday.
According to the notice, the 100 defaulters would be restricted for six months, for failure to comply with the mandatory Day seven Post Arrival COVID-19 Polymerise Chain Reaction (PCR) test, and that the six months restrictions, which took effect from Jan. 1, would last till June 30, 2021.

The defaulting passengers will be prevented from travelling out of the country during this period.
The Federal Ministry of Information and Culture displayed the passport number of the affected individuals in a Tweet on Saturday night via on its official Twitter account.
The Tweet which was shared by the official account of the Federal Government read:
