The Federal Road Safety Corps has commenced its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across three major cadres.
The official announcement was made on Thursday, June 26, 2026, from the Corps’ National Headquarters in Abuja.
Vacancies are available under three major categories.
The Officer Cadre, the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.
Specifically, the Corps is looking to fill positions including Superintendent Route Commander, Route Commander and Deputy Route Commander, Assistant Route Commander, Marshal Inspector II and III, as well as Road Marshal Assistant I, II, and III.
Qualifications Per Cadre
Applicants for the Superintendent Route Commander position must possess a first degree in MBBS, BMBCh, or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognised institution.
For Route Commander and Deputy Route Commander positions must hold degrees in disciplines such as pharmacy, nursing, or engineering.
For the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, applicants are required to possess qualifications such as NCE, ND, RN, RM, or equivalent certificates from approved institutions.
The Road Marshal Assistant cadre is open to candidates with at least three credits in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics.
Artisans and skilled workers including drivers, mechanics, motorcycle riders, electricians, tailors, plumbers, and computer operators are also eligible to apply under this category.
The General Requirements
Applicants must be Nigerians by birth, computer literate, and medically fit.
A certificate of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital is required, alongside compliance with the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.
The Corps also states that applicants must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies, and all academic and professional qualifications must be declared during application, as undeclared certificates will not be recognised later for career progression.
How to Apply
Applications are to be submitted online through the official FRSC recruitment portal at recruitment.frsc.gov.ng, with the exercise open for four weeks from July 3, 2026.
Applicants are advised to verify the exact closing date on the portal, as it may be updated.
The FRSC has reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free and has advised applicants to avoid individuals or groups demanding payment in exchange for employment opportunities.
