Shareholders of United Capital Plc (NGX: UCAP) will be receiving a dividend of N1.50 per 50 kobo ordinary share of the company they hold.
In a corporate action announcement earlier on Wednesday, the company announced the dividend proposal which will be put to shareholders for approval at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2022 full year period ended 31st December, 2022.

The proposed dividend of N1.50, same figure as was paid for the 2021 financial year, will be subject to the appropriate withholding tax.
With the share price of UCAP at N14.75, the dividend yield as today, the date of the announcement is 10.16%, without the consideration of withholding tax.
The qualification date for the dividend has been set as March 14, 2023.
On March 28, 2023, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at March 14, 2023, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, which is available at https://africaprudential.com/wpcontent/uploads/2018/01/EDMMS-Form_120118.pdf, complete and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.
Shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that have remained unclaimed, or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar.
The Company’s Annual General Meeting will hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10.00am.
For the 2022 financial year, United Capital Plc posted a profit of N9.65bn, lower than the N11.25bn it reported in 2021. It also reported an earnings per share of 161 kobo, lower than the 188 kobo reported in 2021.
