United Bank for Africa Plc (NGX: UBA) has announced a final dividend of ₦2.30 for 2023 financial year ended 31 December, 2023.

The ₦2.30 final dividend when added to the a interim dividend of 50 kobo brings the total dividend paid by the company to ₦2.80.
₦2.80 final dividend amounts to a dividend pay-out ratio of 16.32% (31 December 2022: 28.14%).
Qualification date for the dividend is set for May 24, 2024. On Friday, May 24, 2024, the final dividend will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at close of business on Friday, May 10, 2024 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the E-Dividend Mandate Form, which is available at http://www.africaprudential.com, complete and submit to the Registrar at the address below, any UBA Branch, or their respective banks. Alternatively, scanned completed forms can be sent to cxc@africaprudential.com or investorrelations@ubagroup.com.
The dividend is subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval of shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The Company’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the Transcorp Hilton, Hotel, Abuja, FCT, at 10.00 AM on Friday, May 24, 2024.
For the 2023 financial year, United Bank for Africa Plc reported a profit after tax of ₦607.69 billion (2022: ₦170.27 billion), and an Earning per Share of ₦17.49 (2022: ₦4.84).
