The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has won all 16 local government areas (LGAs) in Ekiti State.
The election result was announced on Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Announcing the results, the Ekiti State Returning Officer for INEC, Prof Akeem Lasisi, said that Tinubu polled 201,494 to beat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s rival, Atiku Abubakar who scored 89,554.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) polled 11,397 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) polled 264 votes.
INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu said the national collation of results will resume on Monday at 11am.
