The Anambra State Police Command announced that a three-month-old baby was found abandoned in front of Oraukwu Boys Technical College.
A passer-by discovered the infant and handed him over to the Police at Eziowelle Station.
The police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, made this disclosure in a press release on Tuesday. Ikenga urged anyone with information about the baby’s parents to come forward and claim the child.
The police have been unable to locate the baby’s family despite their efforts and have therefore handed the baby over to the Director of the Welfare Department Idemili North LGA for safekeeping.
The police are appealing to anyone who can help identify the baby or assist in reuniting him with his family to come forward.
