President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Thursday, June 22, join world leaders in Paris, France to review and sign a New Global Financial Pact that places vulnerable countries on priority list for support and investment, following devastating impact of climate change, energy crisis, and after effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The announcement of the President’s travel to France was made by Dele Alake, Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communication and Strategy.
The summit which was called for by French President Emmanuel Macron has a “goal to build a new contract between the countries of the North and the South to address climate change and the global crisis.”
The organisers claim that the event will be an opportunity to address key issues: reform of multilateral development banks, debt crisis, innovative financing and international taxes, special drawing rights (SDRs)… Analysis.
President Tinubu will participate in the two-day summit at Palais Brongniart, accompanied by members of the Presidential Policy Advisory Council and senior government officials.
He is expected to return to Abuja on Saturday.
