The Federal High Court in Abuja descended into drama today as Nnamdi Kanu, the detained (IPOB), repeatedly interrupted Justice James Omotosho during the reading of judgment on the remaining seven terrorism count, and he was forcibly removed Court.
Kanu stood up several times, accused the judge of bias, demanded to be shown the law permitting the waiver of final addresses, and shouted at the prosecutor, “God will punish you now and forever.”
When DSS operatives moved to eject him, Kanu resisted, yelling “Don’t touch me!” He was eventually taken out.
Justice Omotosho ruled that Kanu had abused court privilege and continued delivering the judgment in his absence.
As at the time of this news. the judge is still reading the judgment and has not yet pronounced guilt, acquittal, or discharge on any count.
The court is recounting prosecution evidence, including alleged incitement broadcasts and discoveries linked to IPOB/ESN.
Heavy security remains in place across the South-East.
More updates coming…..
