The Board of Directors of MTN Nigeria Communications Plc (NGX: MTNN) has proposed an interim dividend of N5.60 kobo per 2 kobo ordinary share held by shareholders.
The interim dividend proposal was contained in a corporate action announcement published by the telecom company on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

The proposed interim dividend is subject to appropriate deduction of withholding tax, and will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on 18 August 2022.
On 26 August 2022, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders who qualify for it, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who ae yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, complete and submit to the Registrar; Coronation Registrars Limited or their respective Banks. Shareholders with unclaimed dividend are advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar.
In 2021, MTNN paid an interim dividend of N4.55 kobo, and a final dividend of N8.57 kobo per 2 kobo ordinary share.
