The presidential candidate of the Labour Party has won the February 25 presidential election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in his home state, Anambra.
Obi was declared the winner of the presidential poll in the state at the INEC Collation Centre in Awka, after the completion of the exercise on Tuesday.
The Anambra State Collation Officer, Prof. Nnenna Otti said that the Labor Party (LP) polled 584,621 votes.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came in distant second with 9,036 votes followed by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) with 7,388 votes.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) came in fourth with 5,111 votes.
