Monday Idoko, the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ohofia Agba Ward in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has been killed by gunmen, according to media reports.
Vanguard reported that the APGA Chairman was shot in the head in his Onueke village, Ohofia-Agba community at about 11.00pm on Wednesday night.

A relative of the deceased family who pleaded anonymity was reported as saying in a telephone interview;
“My brother the story is very traumatic. It was a family member that alerted me that some unknown armed persons came to their house just before midnight, broke in, and dragged him out before shooting him in the head.
“They wanted to rush him to the hospital but he died in the village. We have been in a mourning mood since last night”.
The late Idoko was said to be busy making arrangements for a rescheduled visit to the area by the APGA Governorship candidate, Professor Benard Odoh.
In the preceding week, the convoy of Professor Benard Odoh was attacked near the same Agba, with his driver and a police inspector getting kill while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
In Ohaukwu Local Government Area, another APGA supporter, Oscar Elom was dragged out of his shop at Ngbo and also shot on the head.
A supporter in Agba speaking anonymously described Monday Idoko as an industrious young man who gave his all in service for the Party and humanity.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State, SP Chris Anyanwu has not issued any official statement from the Police on the incident at the time of this report.
