The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has resumed the sale of petrol in naira, barely 24 hours after suspending the initiative.
In an email to clients on Saturday, the refinery disclosed that the decision to resume was prompted by the intervention of the Federal Government.
The move comes amid heightened concerns over petrol pricing and supply disruptions, following Friday’s suspension which had sparked reactions from petroleum marketers and consumers nationwide.
“Following the intervention of the Naira for Crude Technical committee chairman, we are pleased to inform you of the resumption of PMS Sales in Naira commencing immediately,” the email reads.
“You may kindly proceed to place your orders in Naira for both Self collection and Free delivery of PMS to the earlier advised locations across the country.”
Recall tha on Friday, Dangote Refinery sent an email to its customers, as well as marketers, informing them of the suspension of petrol sales in Naira with effect from Sunday, 28th September 2025.
The 650,000 barrels per day refinery cited the exhaustion of its crude-for-naira allocation as the reason.
