Eunisell Interlinked Plc (NGX: EUNISELL) has appointed Mr. Chika Ikenga as the new Chairman of the company.
His appontment followed the retirement of Mr. Fabian Nnadozie as Chairman of the Company and the
The company disclosed this in a filing with the Nigerian Exchange.
According to the document, “Mr. Ikenga is the Founder and Managing Director of Eunisell Limited and is responsible for leadership and strategic direction of the Company.
“He has systematically built up Eunisell over the past twenty-seven years into one of the leading Companies in the chemicals and Oil and Gas sector in Africa.
“He founded Eunisell Limited in 1996 with the mission of bringing world class chemicals solutions to companies operating in Africa. Prior to founding and leading Eunisell, Mr. Ikenga worked with Ibachem, an affiliate of Dow Chemicals.
“Mr. Ikenga is also the founder of Recare Limited, the owner of Natures Gentle Touch® hair care brand. In 2004, he acquired Hair Savvy Cosmetics, a South African cosmetics company and successfully merged the company to form Recare Cosmetics South Afica.
“Mr. Ikenga holds a B.SC in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also attended a Managemient course in Lagos Business School and Leadership Course in Cambridge University.
“In 2021, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Michael Okpara University of Agriculture. His appointment is effective from June 20, 2023.”
The equity price of Eunisell has been flat at N2.91 per share since July 2021.
In its latest financial statements for the nine months ended march 31, 2023, the company reported a N206.44 million revenue, a 19% increase from N173.85 million in the previous year. Its profit however dropped to N3.11 million from N6.14 million in the preceding year.
